LiveSummit.
LiveSummit are a band from Russia who plays electronic music.
The band was formed in 2008 and since its inception has been destroying stereotypes. LiveSummit has a wide diversity within their music but they concentrate mainly on Jungle, Drum and Bass and the other sub-genres, such as (Neurofunk, Technoid, Techstep, Liqid funk etc.) LiveSummit bring you nothing but upfront bass music and have over the years gained a massive amount of fans and support.
They have linked up with many world and Russian DNB producers along the way. Livesummit use lots of triggers and Electronic drum machines tied in with a combination of technics. Livesummit use Electronic Drums in their live music and are lucky enough to have the knowledge of an excellent DNB drummer called Jojo Mayer, Jazz drummer Dennis Chambers, who has also given them great results.”
In 2009 they were asked to play on the big stages at “The R.A.V.E. Episode I” and “Pirate Station”, as well as continually being head line acts at some of Russia biggest festivals
All ready Live Summit have supported Black Sun Empire(UK), Fresh(UK), the Panacea(GER), the Sect(UK), Mistabishi(UK), Phace(GER), Concord Dawn (NZL), Kano (UK), Check the photo section on site for images.
In 2010 LiveSummit was exclusively signed by labels Live&Dangerous(UK), and Dangerous New Age(UK),This has been one of the best things they have done, as its brought them a home and management as well as contact with some of the finest producers in the up and coming world. LiveSummit linked up with one of the vocalists and DJs on the labels called AnnGree also from Russia. This was the start of a great collaboration and friendship.
It wasn’t long before they had made a track called Fly High featuring the Vocal talents of AnnGree. It was really a good idea to get AnnGree to sing on it as she brought something unique to it. It’s not just another vocal tune it has has a really different vibe and huge European presence on it which is quite rare in Drum & Bass.
Live Summit and AnnGree really thought about this one. The track turned out to be a great success and was followed up by Purtorican DNB producers Custom Soldierz remix that was featured in week 34 in the Beatport charts, and out of the thousands of tunes on Beatport this was a good look for LIvesummit, Anngree and Custom Soldierz. Livesummit also linked up with fellow band members from The Vangarde who are also on the labels. They got together and it was decided that The Vangardes D2F should be remixed. This was a great Idea as it brought the two bands closer together.
Today LiveSummit keeps moving forward and are setting even higher goals, which is directed at Bass Music. Livesummit are one of the best Liveacts in Russia and if you see them on a flier then go and check them out.
