Keri Greenaway & Micky B, went to London on July 14th and played at the 02. The day was great and we all had a good time. Unfortunately the set up of the show was beyond a joke!. They got told to go for a sound check at 11.am on the Saturday, but the sound check never happened. Only two people in the Twenty Four acts left got sound checks, not very reassuring.

The event was at proud Two at the 02 (London) It was defiantly not the right choice of venue, and to make things even worse the organizers decided to have the event all standing, which was not fair on the younger kids and elder people there! Beer was flowing like a Saturday night club, and this was meant to be a family run thing!

When Keri & Micky got on the stage they did amazingly well considering the sound engineer had no clue and the sound was awful. They done an original dance number called “Call Me” produced by Drifta and written by Keri, and then they did an Eta James number where they changed all the words to sing about Live & Unsigned, it was a shame the judges didnt even hear it properly. (We was not impressed by the Judges nor was anyone else!)

In all we had a good day and was able to meek Keri, Micky B , AnnGree, Alter Ego, Steve, and Keri’s family and friends…. They didnt win the competition as it turns out the audience votes where done a week before knowing who the top Three would be left, a bit odd we must say! So the winners where chosen from the most texts in the week. As if we  didnt see that coming!

One of the judges comments was a bit out of the blue as he turned around and basically said Keri would not work well in a studio! Then only a few days ago the same judge, emails Keri and asks her to join his Music Academy, this made absolutely no sense to us? We have declined the offer, as we think its very wrong for a judge to have an Alteri Motive!!! What chance does anyone stand in a competition if a judge has other plans for the act?

In closing we did take away positive things from Live & Unsigned 2012, and we will say thanks to them, as its definitely gave us a little more exposure, we got to see our acts play at the 02 and they really enjoyed it. We all linked up and had a good drink and chat. We will we do it again NO WAY!!!
